About Us


Billy, Kimberly, and Ethan Wood currently manage Wood Family Farms. Our business was established in 2021 from a desire to share this wholesome, nutritious beef with other families that we were already enjoying and appreciating.

Billy is a the third-generation farmer whose family history in agriculture dates back to the 1940’s – 1950’s. He also had a career in public service for 30 years, who retired in 2021. Kimberly with all the normal duties of caring for our three children also has been a teacher for the past 23 years. My son Ethan, now twenty, is currently attending NC State University majoring in Agriculture Business, while maintaining all that needs to be done around the farm.

We believe our cattle should be loved and never be stressed, by their handling or by their environment. These principles guide us everyday – and we know they result in better meat, both nutritionally as well as in the flavor department.
